One of our members had a rough open last week. Took a loss, hit his daily limit, and was finished before most people had properly started work.

Here's what he wrote about it.

"a loss at the open pushed me to DLL, its ok, lots of patience left. getting better at not letting these days affect me."

Thats the whole email, really.

He didn't say he was getting better at reading charts. He said he was getting better at not spiraling.

Then on Friday another member posted this: "hit my weekly goal. No trading today."

The market was open. He could have. He had the platform right there.

He just... didn't.

Do you know how uncommon that is? Most people struggle to step away and hold onto what they have already got.

Here's the part nobody really warns you about though. None of this stays inside the trading account.

You cannot practice "I said I would stop at this number, so I stopped" every single morning for a few months and still be exactly the same person at 4pm.

It shows up everywhere else. In what you eat. In what you say yes to. In whether you finish the things you start.

Trading isn't about winning. Its about not losing. And the actual skill underneath it is doing what you said you would do on a morning when literally nobody would have known either way.

(Thats also the annoying part, by the way. You run out of excuses in other areas 😅)
