What If a Sick Day Didn't Cost You Anything?

One of our members was sick this week.

He skipped the live session on Wednesday and slept in. (Good. That's what you should do when you're sick!)

Later on he sat down, traded on his own, and finished the day up 24 pips.

Here's what he posted: "I wasn't in a session today. Been under the weather and maximized sleep. Keeping the streak going... 3 days, all +10 or more."

Now think about what a sick day looks like at a normal job.

You burn a day of PTO. Or you don't get paid. Or you drag yourself in anyway because the work piles up.

He didn't ask anybody. He didn't owe anybody an explanation. He rested, and then he did his work when he felt up to it.

That's what a skill does for you. It goes where you go, and it waits until you're ready.

It's like knowing how to cook. Nobody can take it away from you, and it works in any kitchen.

Money is a by-product of following the system. What you're really getting back is your time, and the right to decide what to do with it.
